I am searching for a bit of humanism in America. Read the newspaper this morning and became so upset that I made this blog site so I could say why. Many American Indians are not getting health care because they are not, according to our government, "properly" documented. Apparently, you must prove without doubt that you are a native American from a documented and approved tribe. Sheesh. I can't even prove I am not an illegal alien here in Arizona. I was born in California; grandparents came from England about 1914; mother born in Utah, but my birth certificate is lost and it takes time to get a duplicate from California records... so the local DMV said "NO." Yet, I am what I am.

So, how do we get to some of these decisions as a country? How can we justify them? Remember our Supreme Court? Does anyone out there know how we came up with the phrase and concept "Manifest Destiny"?

I'm unhappy about the "small-heartedness" of today's ruling classes.... hmmm... Any ideas?
